The Pre-Shoot Process!
Sometimes when we meet a potential client the first question is ‘how much’…but there is so much to consider before we get to that point!

Investing in your business shouldn’t be daunting. We want to take you behind the scenes of the steps we take to ensure your investment in your video marketing fulfills all your expectations. In the end, Straightline Media is here to help you grow your business and knowing how we can do that can give you confidence to take your video marketing to where it needs to be.
First up, it is a strategy meeting with Dan, our owner and operator. With over a decade experience in media, Dan knows the right questions to ask and the right time to listen. Yes, he’ll come with ideas, but in the end, it is a chance to listen and learn about your business.
What is it you want out of your TVC or social media promotional videos?
What has sparked an interest in TV or social media video?
What do you need out of your TV or social media videos?
We want to know your story. Where has your business come from? Where is your business headed? What is the current state of play of your industry? Any video we produce will aim to capture the people and personality of your brand.
Then it is the details:
Who are you targeting?
What area of your business are you focusing on?
Why are you targeting a specific audience?
Knowing who your desired target audience is will influence everything from the music, sound effects, length, style and structure of the video.
Knowing a specific element of your business to focus on will help drill down into a message that can be consumed easily, particularly for the changing nature of TV and any social media campaigns you may need to develop.
While we never come with an approach of copying or mirroring your competitors, our pre-shoot process does need to consider where and what your competitors are doing. The biggest question here is what do you do differently from your competitors?
These are very tough questions but to get the most out of your video marketing, it is so important to analyze these details before we start shooting.
